What had been a storage room filled with dead computers and empty boxes was remodeled into a beer kitchen where Kurt takes on the role of “mad scientist” and makes beer to his heart’s content. He credits the look of the space to Dwight Graybill (Cocalico Builders), who purchased the cabinetry at an auction, relocated the beams from a barn on the property and salvaged the teak/mahogany flooring from tractor-trailer trucks. Kurt’s wife, Tracy, also gets kudos for finding the specialty lighting on the beam, as well as much of the “beer art” that hangs on the walls. Family memorabilia also decorates the space.
