Anne Schober, Mollie Ayers and 26 other chronic illness patients have created a book, called Invincible – Finding the Light Beyond the Darkness of Chronic Illness. The book will be released on April 12, 2023, during their book launch at Our Town Brewery from 6-8 p.m.
Anne Schober and Mollie Ayers, along with 26 other chronic illness warriors, share their stories through topics including anger, denial, and grief through acceptance, triumphs, and joys. A labor of love, Invincible is written with honesty, encouragement, and hopefulness. Each story is anonymous. Each story is truthful. Each story is powerful. Each story is worth reading.
When they began this journey, they thought of themselves as “28 invisible warriors” because many of them do not “look” sick. It was through the writing process where all 28 authors fully came to understand that they are not invisible, they are Invincible, and they are ready to share their stories.
They wrote the book to bring awareness to all those fighting their own chronic illness. Each day is uncertain. Each day can be a struggle. But each day is a gift and finding little nuggets of joy along the way allows them to conquer even the worst of days.
Books can be preordered prior to the book launch for those who will be in attendance. Books will also be available for sale to the general public on Thursday, April 13 via their website.
