Cymbeline
“Be not as is our fangled world, a garment nobler than that it covers.” The People’s Shakespeare Project begins its 17th anniversary season with the classic tale of Cymbeline. When beleaguered princess Innogen runs away from her hapless father King Cymbeline in search of her banished husband, she finds refuge in a cave with three vagabonds and outcasts. As war threatens Cymbeline’s kingdom, and conspiracies threaten Innogen’s life, the princess and her fellow castoffs of society prove themselves to be the true head of the nation.
