For Kathys Sake 8th Annual Advocacy Brunch - When Women Push Change Happens

The community is invited to join us for our 8th Annual For Kathy’s Sake Advocacy Brunch.
This year our theme is, “When Women Push, Change Happens”.
We’re celebrating a new 2024 law titled The Katherine Morris Death Reclassification Act , the 2024 reclassification of the manner of death for Keith Warren after a 37-year push and more!! Yes, the work of many other dedicated persons that have pressed for change!
Come hear some extraordinary stories of accomplishment by some extraordinary women. How did they do it? Why did they do it? Against all odds they have creatively moved mountains and persevered pushing for tougher gun laws, tougher hate crime legislation, increased reward money for information on crimes, and advocating for tougher laws to help all Marylanders.

This year we will have the music of Larraine Jones, a live band, cash bar and a silent auction. Your MC for the afternoon is Will Rowel. Our keynote is the Honorable Delegate Shaneka Henson.

Awardees this year are Tomeka Church, Rene Swafford, Erica Hamlett, Tawanda Jones, Nikki Owens, Beverly Reed, Adrienne Miranda, Dawn Collins, Larraine Jones, Kelly McGraw and Marlene Netherton. In the category of Future Change Makers, we have Angeleice Davidson and Armani Jackson.

The catering is by The Kitchen Catering. The ticket price is $20 per person. (This is the 1st time in 8 years we have charged for this event).
