Paintings and drawings by two local emerging artists, including portraiture and still life
Blair Atherholt focuses his painting practice on traditional oil still lifes with contemporary and imaginative subject matter. His use of light and shadow evokes a sense of intimacy in his works. Atherholt has been pursuing a career as a fine artist since he graduated from the Schuler School of Fine Arts in 2015.
Chomingo Rivas uses a variety of mediums to create expressive portraits and colorful landscapes. His subjects are often inspired by his home country of El Salvador, and more recently Lancaster. Rivas earned a degree in Visual Arts from National Center for Arts in 2012 and immigrated to Lancaster in early 2020.
This special exhibition is held in memory of artist Michael Tymon (1984-2019), whose work inspired many.
