This 1929 Chevy Truck was built in 1985 from original parts found in Texas. A 1930 Chevrolet engine was found in Christiana, PA and restored for the pickup truck.
In 1996 the truck set out on an across country trip. The back wheels were placed in the Atlantic Ocean at Sandy Hook, NJ and 59 days later the front wheels touched the Pacific Ocean outside Hollywood, CA.
During the trip money was raised for the Lions Club by asking for a $5.00 donation for giving the Lions Club. Since then, the truck has made many appearances in Parades and local car shows throughout New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. The spirit of the vehicle remains the same as we they to raise money for Veterans Organizations (VFW, American Legion, Wreaths across America) and local charities, by asking for a $5 dollar donation to sign the car.
In it’s history, the vehicle has managed to acquire over $40,000 in donations for the Lions Club and Veterans Groups as the Hillbilly Clan continues to travel to various locations having fun and raising money for those in need.
