During late winter, the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area becomes a premier waterfowl stopover location for the Spring Migration of Snow Geese, Tundra Swans, and many species of ducks. Visitors and enthusiasts can expect between 100,000 and 200,000 birds each year, with peak numbers between mid-February and mid-March.
The best times to view Snow Geese on the lake are sunrise and sunset. The most popular place to view the geese is from Willow Point.
The Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area is a 6,000 acre tract along the southeast region of the Lebanon Valley and is set aside for protecting and managing wildlife. This area provides a 400-acre lake, marshy habitats and trails to observe flora and fauna.
