Join us for an evening of delicious food, live music, and historic tours, all by the scenic Pequea River!
Each year, LancasterHistory hosts an Annual Dinner, a celebration of its members, donors, and the dedicated work of the organization. Folks gather together for a fun, pep-rally style evening to support public educational programs at LancasterHistory. This year’s venue, Historic Sickman’s Mill, is a fresh spin on the classic evening, and we’re excited to get together with friends for an evening of delicious food, live music and historic tours, all by the scenic Pequea Creek.
The Summertime Picnic will take place Thursday, June 2 from 5:30-8:30pm at Historic Sickman’s Mill, located at 671 Sandhill Road in Pequea, PA. Cocktails begin at 5:30pm, followed by 6:30pm remarks by Dr. Tom Ryan, President & CEO, and a picnic-style dinner and dessert by Cracked Pepper Catering. The Summertime Picnic benefits the education and public history programs of LancasterHistory.
Throughout the evening, tours of Historic Sickman’s Mill will be available and led by owner Joe Devoy. Live music will also be provided by Tuck Ryan from 6-8pm. In addition, a Silent Auction will take place to raise additional funds for LancasterHistory, featuring history-themed baskets, special events, and one-of-a-kind experiences!
