Two Local Charities Partner Up

Aaron’s Acres and Greystone Manor Therapeutic Riding Center (GMTRC) are once again teaming up to serve local kids with special needs. Aaron’s Acres is a Lancaster-based non-profit organization that provides year-round therapeutically based, age-appropriate recreational programs to children and young adults, ages 5 to 21 years, in a supportive environment that enhances socialization and communication skills. Aaron’s Acres is proudly celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2023. GMTRC is a Lancaster-based charitable organization with the mission of enhancing the lives of individuals with special needs and other at-risk populations through equine-assisted activities. Aaron’s Acres campers will visit GMTRC six times between June and August 2023.

During their visits, the campers will have an opportunity to ride the therapeutic horses, engage in sensory processing activities, learn about barn work and equine care, and lead a horse through an obstacle course.
