The winter solstice is one of the oldest winter celebrations in the world and is observed by many different cultures and religions; some eat special meals while others light symbolic fires. Join Naturalist Stevie Kitching for a glimpse into how and why the winter solstice is celebrated by so many. After the presentation, you are invited to join a campfire for a chance to relax and enjoy some hot chocolate during a busy and stressful holiday season. Please dress for the weather and bring a lawn chair if you plan to stay for the campfire. Register online or call (717) 295-2055 to register and prepay by noon on Monday, December 20. $4.00 per person.
