History of the Susquehanna River Lecture
Jeri Jones, Jones Geological Services
The Zimmerman Center is bringing back our popular lecture series connecting you with the lasting heritage of Susquehanna River and the two counties it connects. This year we want to bring back “old times” with some of our favorite lecturers, stories of the past, and the friendly atmosphere our setting creates.
On December 14, geologist Jeri Jones takes us back to really “old times” in our first talk, “History of the Susquehanna River”. Be prepared to have your mind boggled as he answers the question, “Just how old is the river?”!
Jeri will have copies of his book “Geologic Guide to the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail” for sale to help you on your own journey of learning more about the rocks that surround this ancient river.
Tickets are $10 per person. Advance registration required! Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online at https://susqnha.org/events/ or ordered by phone at 717-252-0229 ext. 101.
This lecture is limited to 30 guests, so get your tickets before they are gone!
